For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written,
As i live, says the lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to god.”
So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. – Romans 14:10b-12

– Romanos 14:10b-12

We will all stand before God on the Great Day of Judgment (Acts 17:31, 2 Thess. 1:5-12) and give an account of ourselves – for every action, word, thought, and even motive we have ever had (Heb. 4:12)! Your only hope to be declared “NOT GUILTY” of sin on that Day is to be covered by “the blood (and righteousness) of Christ” (Eph. 2:13; 1 Pet. 1:19; Rev. 1:5)! There are no second chances after death, as it is written: “It is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment” (Heb. 9:27), “For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, ‘Peace and safety!’ then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober” (1 Thess. 5:2-6), and “For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed” (2 Thess. 1:6-10). We must prepare to stand before God today (2 Cor. 6:2); we cannot do so after death. If you have not yet been obedient to the gospel, please contemplate the matter urgently (Josh. 24:15)!
